THE TWELVE GOOD IDEAS FOR BUSTING FEARS
What you can do if you're scared
1 Talk to somebody that you trust and tell them all about your fear
and worries.
2 Talk yourself through your fear and handle it with positive
thoughts.
3 Copy people who are brave. People in pictures, photographs, movies
and real life.
4 Make sure you have a safe and comfortable space around you.
5 Find out the facts. What's the truth?
6 Know what to expect, and how and when to do things.
7 Learn to relax.
8 Exercise and burn up the fear.
9 Imagine facing up to the fear and beating it.
10 Read lots of stories that show how people and animals cope with their
fear.
11 Use drawings - first to show what you are scared of and then to show
how you can be the boss of the fear.
12 Ask someone to give you rewards when you show that you're brave.
